Update: Microsoft Online Backup Beta

Register your server in order to get 100GB for the Beta
We are checking in with our customers that have registered accounts to use the beta release of the Microsoft Online Backup Service. Some customers we talked to said that the smaller amount of storage was one of the reasons they hadn’t started using online backup. As a result of customer feedback, we are increasing the beta storage for all customers who have registered their Windows Server “8” for Online Backup from 10 GB to 100 GB.

If you have not yet registered your Windows Server “8” for Online Backup, you can still receive the storage space increase for your account by following these steps:
1.    Install Windows Server Backup on Windows Server 8 by going to Server Manager -> Add Roles and Features -> Features.
2.    Download and install Microsoft Online Backup Beta Agent
3.    Launch “Microsoft Online Backup Service” console and register your server using the Microsoft Online Service ID and password (provided over email from —@microsoft.com)
If you need to install Windows Server “8” Beta, you can download it from the TechNet Evaluation Center here.

Na dann, viel Spass….
